Dear teachers and friends, I think it’s my pleasure to talk about the topic—Role Model In My Heart. I know that everyone has his or her role model and so do I. Yao Ming is my role model. He is kind and hard-working. When he went to America in 2002, he met many problems. He had to deal with cultural differences and language difficulties to communicate with his teammates. He worked hard, overcame the difficulties and won his teammates’ and fans’ respect. From him, I have learned that no matter what difficulties I meet in my life, I should work hard to solve them and be a strong person.

You asked me the haze in Beijing, now let me tell you about it. Yes, we really often have haze days this winter. It’s too terrible. Sometimes the smog was so heavy that people couldn’t see very far. When the red alert was issued, schools stopped classes, but we went on with our study online with the help of our teachers. Thanks to our teachers, we could keep learning. As a student, I think I can protect myself by wearing a mask when haze days come. I shouldn’t go to public places because there are too many people. As for the environment, I can go to school on foot or by bike.
